BEST-SELLING MARIMEKKO TABLEWARE - WE HAVE AUSTRALIA'S LARGEST COLLECTION

Marimekko's 7dl (700ml) Unikko teapot features Maija Isola's iconic floral pattern in vibrant shades of red. Inspired by the clean lines used in Japanese design; its tranquil character is complemented by the Unikko design. The pot and wood-knobbed lid are made of white stoneware ensuring a long lifespan; hand wash to ensure the glazed colour and pattern remain vibrant.

The Unikko pattern came about in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced in public that no floral fabrics are designed at Marimekko. Maija Isola, the renowned Finnish designer, did not accept rules or restrictions and designed a complete collection of bold floral patterns in protest: Unikko, a Finnish word that means poppy. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known patterns and recognised around the world.

The Marimekko teapot is a popular gift item - let us know if this is a present when you check out and we will gift wrap them for you.
