This is the latest IH (induction) rice cooker with a twin pressure system, introduced to the Australian market in 2024. It is the successor to the previous successful model, CRP-JHT1010F, which was in grey.
The new model features a modern design in pure white. Its 'open-cooking' mode, a notable advancement, sets it apart from most pressure rice cookers on the market. This feature allows you to open the cooker mid-process to add ingredients, significantly enhancing cooking convenience.
This model's twin pressure system is unique, offering a choice between ultra-high pressure cooking mode and non-pressure induction cooking mode. If you choose the non-pressure option, the cooker operates in induction mode, distributing heat 360 degrees for evenly cooked rice. What is an IH pressure rice cooker? What makes it different from conventional pressure rice cookers?
The rice cooker can reach a higher boiling point when under this process than when under standard pressure (1 atm/105 Pa-100 degrees Celsius). These cookers can reach 120-150 degrees Celsius under pressure. In comparison to a conventional pressure rice cooker, Cuckoo pressure rice cookers build more pressure, allowing them to achieve a higher boiling point.
What are the advantages of IH pressure cookers?
It not only reaches a higher boiling point, but it also shortens the cooking time. Food/grain that is cooked at higher heat for a short amount of time becomes softer and more tender.
